Resetarits Construction was contracted to perform the Construction Management of this immersive walk-through natural habitat exhibit. The 26,000 SF, fully enclosed tropical rainforest building, provides the Zoo with a signature, four-season attraction. Home to more than 30 species including exotic reptiles, birds, monkeys and giant anteaters. A 30-foot waterfall completes the tropical exhibit. The entrance pavilion provides the public with a duel functioning interpretive center and student classroom space as well as a gift shop. The experience of the lush Exhibit Hall is enhances with additional interpretive guides geared to all ages. Behind the scenes of the featured exhibits, the structure is supported by extremely complex mechanical systems to maintain the climate control and life support necessary to support the existence of the occupying flora and fauna. In addition to the delicate climate controls, multiple veterinary food preparation areas as well as specialized animal holding centers support the zoological complex. An additional unique feature is the roofing system that is comprised of pneumatic cushions restrained in aluminum extrusions and supported by a lightweight structure. The cushions are inflated with low pressure air to provide insulation and resist wind loads. This projects complex building systems required international coordination resulting in a critical path timeline and field accuracy.

Set in the historic Allentown District of Buffalo, the former FDA Administration Building on Delaware Avenue was extensively renovated into a state of the art clinical pharmacology unit, The Buffalo Clinical Research Center.

Working with the Buffalo Preservation Board, the existing building’s industrial looking facade had to be redesigned to better fit the surrounding historic structures. This reconstruction included updating the concrete reinforced structure with new glazing systems, metal panels, solar awnings as well as masonry restoration.

On the interior, the new layout and configuration required a total “gutting” of the existing structure. There is an underground parking facility which required mechanical ventilation to meet building code requirements. The first floor provides public access and houses the pharmacology offices as well as the reception/intake area. The upper levels are dedicated to medical research, which includes inpatient studies. Clinical residential suites are comprised of male and female facilities including lounge areas, nurse’s stations, testing facilities and overnight accommodations.

Westermeier Martin Dental Care is a state of the art dental practice located in historic East Aurora, NY. Drs. Westermeier and Martin focus on cosmetic dentistry, and much like their dental work, their office renovation and addition needed to be perfect and reflect the high caliber of work done at the facility.

The project design was influenced by the signature “Roycroft” or “Arts and Crafts” style of East Aurora. This included intricate and very high end carpentry and finishes. Resetarits Construction utilized some of the area’s most skilled carpenters and trades people, all while maintaining the aggressive project budget.

One challenge of the project was ensuring that the treatment of patients be minimally interrupted during the construction process. Resetarits Construction’s experience with working in occupied medical facilities allowed the doctors and their staff to continue their daily operations with little interference. Through proper coordination with the doctors and subcontractors, Resetarits Construction was able to ensure that sensitive dental operations were able to safely continue throughout the project. A two week shut down period, in which crews worked nearly 24/7 to complete the most disruptive of work, allowed the project to be completed within the necessary timeframe.

Upon completion of the Westermeier Martin Dental Care project, Resetarits Construction proved that superior craftsmanship and adherence to schedule can be achieved even under the extenuating circumstances of working in an occupied medical facility.

The Buffalo Club is one of Buffalo’s most prestigious social organizations, and has been in existence since 1867. Founded by members including the club’s first President, Millard Fillmore, the original founding statement read “to promote social intercourse among its members.” The Buffalo Club moved to its present location in 1887.

In modern times, social intercourse often occurs over a glass of fine wine. The Buffalo Club was lacking in a wine storage room, and desired to offer members a place to store and enjoy their wine collections. Preserving the integrity of the stately Club was of first priority, and Resetarits Construction was hired to ensure that the construction of the wine room would preserve the architectural significance of the Club.

The Buffalo Club Wine Room was constructed within an existing room at the Club. This existing room featured woodwork dating back to the construction of the building in 1870. Resetarits Construction utilized the talents of the finest carpenters in Buffalo, who were able to replicate the original craftsmanship of the room.
The Buffalo Club’s high standards of excellence demanded minimal interruption of members’ enjoyment of the Club during the construction process. Resetarits Construction was able to achieve project success while ensuring that noise, dust, and deliveries did not interfere with Club activities.

The Wine Room features a climate controlled environment for the storage of the members’ rare and extensive wine collections. Individual wine lockers provide a secured storage space for private collections. The project added a modern amenity to the Club, while maintaining the architectural integrity of the building.

The greatest compliment to our work was received when providing a member with a tour of the new Wine Room. Upon entering the room, the member could not identify which area of the room was new construction. That our work has blended so seamlessly with the exceptional craftsmanship of the original building is the greatest testament to our success.

Resetarits Construction has completed numerous expansion and renovation projects to Rodgard’s facility located in Buffalo, NY.

Most recently, Resetarits Construction erected a 25,000 s.f. pre-engineered warehouse addition to their existing pre-engineered manufacturing facility.

Because of the sensitive industrial operations being performed in the Rodgard facility, precision was critical in this expansion. In particular, the quality and flatness of the warehouse floor was imperative to the success of the project, and Rodgard’s ability to utilize the space.

Additional work included sitework, foundations, mechanical work, building erection, and interior finishes.

Resetarits Construction employed subcontractors on the project with a track record for attention to detail and careful performance, and delivered another successful project to Rodgard industries.

The 68,000 SF historic Packard Building was originally the showroom and assembly plant for the international automobile company of the same name. This mix-use project converted the 1936 industrial portion of the building into a residential complex consisting of 40 apartments ranging from studios to one, two and three bedroom units, as well as common spaces for tenant use. In addition, automobile showroom’s historic fabric has been maintained and utilized for commercial activities, showcasing glorious terracotta floors and architectural details. Painstaking care was given to the restoration of the limestone façade as well as window reconstruction and replacement. The historic significance of the structure allowed the client to apply for historic tax credits, as well as utilize various public funding resources; therefore, stringent guidelines were adhered to during the design and construction phases of the project. This project also included the creation of a “pocket park” as well as surface parking constructed on the adjacent properties.
